Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie review

We saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen last night and thought we'd drop a review of it right in your lap! If you like your Decepticons and Autobots you're probably going to love this film, but it's not without its feminsit laced issues. Looking for cool female characters? Look elsewhere. Full review here.

The Scooby Gang are Back by Kristin

The Scoobies Are Back! That’s right, our beloved Buffy characters are returning and with Whedon as well. There are few details currently known, but it will be animated. Well, as animated as the Watchmen motion comic was. It will be an adaption of the Buffy comic books, sadly no word as to which comics. Personally, I hope it will be an adaption of season eight. The voice actors have yet to be announced. Sadly, with Anthony Head’s current work in the new Merlin series, doubts are that they will not be the cast of the show. As stated, Whedon will be involved just not as much as most would like. He will simply give his approval, views, and suggestions; at least he still has some say. As disappointing as it may be, it stakes the heart of the new movie.

Clea DuVall looks hot in Virtuality

With e3 taking over our lives at the moment, we thought we'd better take the time to bring the non gaming geeky lesbians some love. The first promo shots from Ron D Moore's new show Virtuality are in and one of them shows the pilot of the Phaeton in her little uniform. We thought you'd like it since it's Clea DuVall.

Still can't quite believe the married gay couple of the show are guys.. I mean come on.. it's Clea DuVall... as a hot shot space ship pilot.. what more do you need to set your gaydar dinging. Smokin image after the jumperoo.

Tricia Helfer is Dare in new Halo game

Crossover post with LesbianGamers.com given its relevance to both. Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer plays female character "Dare" in the new Halo title ODST: Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. Dare is the commanding officer in the UNSC Marine Corp and head of the Shock Trooper squad. We've got a feeling she won't be playable (unless it's in multiplayer), which sucks. On a note of trivia, Tricia Helfer joins Katee Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica's Starbuck) as one of the female voices in the Halo universe. Full image of Dare after the jumperoo.

New Buffy movie - Whedon hopes it doesn't suck

Okay so "doesn't suck" was a pun, there I admit it. Of course it will suck, on a couple of levels, one being vampire suckage and two being you can't re-boot Buffy without Buffy and the scooby gang!! Whedon's actual words were "I hope it's cool", well don't we all, but I'm not feeling it.

Fran Rubel Kazui owns rights to Buffy and thinks a re-boot using none of the cast of the TV show and no Mr Whedon is a good move. Well here's the thing, Kazui directed the Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie... and how'd that turn out?

I'm torn, how about you? I mean the Star Trek re-boot was actually prettygood.... what do you think?

    V re-imagine clips / trailer - Looks geeky awesome

The first clips from the upcoming "V" remake are up and they look pretty awesome! Check out the clips below and swoon at Morena Baccarin's serene leadership qualities (no rodent eating in this clip!).

Otalia: Never Gonna Happen (Frank) by lejunkdrawer

It's not too often we post YouTube clips that aren't scifi / geek related, but today we're making an exception. We came across this talented lady via a comment at Lesbian Gamers and thought her editing work was so great we'd highlight her and one of her videos here at the geek.

Now the US soap opera Guiding Light may  not fall under the moniker of Lesbian Geekage per se, but the craftsmanship of the Otalia videos by YouTube user 'lejunkdrawer' certainly does (well we had to tie it in somehow ;-) Check out her video "Never Gonna Happen" below. Great stuff!
